NCT ID NCT07542054
First seen May 10, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study compares two surgical approaches for degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis, a condition that causes back and leg pain. Researchers will enroll 56 adults over 40 who still have pain after at least 3 months of non-surgical treatments. One group will have a less invasive surgery that only removes the pressing bone and tissue, while the other will have a more extensive removal plus metal screws and rods to stabilize the spine. The goal is to see which method provides better pain relief and daily function over 18 months.
