First seen Feb 09, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study compares two surgical procedures for female stress urinary incontinence (leakage with cough, sneeze, or exercise). Sixty adult women who have not improved with non-surgical treatments will be randomly assigned to receive either laparoscopic Burch colposuspension or transobturator tape. The main goal is to see which surgery better stops leakage, measured by patient reports and a cough test at 1, 3, and 6 months after surgery.
