NCT ID NCT07348731
First seen Jan 30, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study looks at three non-drug methods—a warm foot bath, a pressure device called ShotBlocker, and a vibrating ice pack called Buzzy—to see which best helps newborns stay calm and keep stable heart rate, breathing, and oxygen levels during a heel prick blood test. About 90 full-term babies will take part, and their pain and crying will be measured. The goal is to find a safe, easy way to reduce stress for newborns during this common procedure.
