Scientists test which talk therapy works best for depression
NCT ID NCT06245096
Summary
This study compares two established online group talk therapies for major depression: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Up to 100 adults in California will be randomly assigned to receive 8 weeks of one therapy via Zoom, followed by 6 months of check-ins. The goal is to understand which specific therapy skills work best and for whom, to improve future treatment.
