First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 35 times

Summary

This study compares three different anti-inflammatory eye drops (bromfenac, nepafenac, and diclofenac) to see which works best to prevent or treat macular edema—a type of swelling—after cataract surgery. About 150 adults having cataract surgery will be randomly assigned one of the three drops. They will have follow-up visits over six weeks to check their vision, eye thickness, and quality of life.
