New MRI methods could sharpen MS diagnosis
NCT ID NCT04705870
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tested two different MRI scan methods to see how well they detect the 'central vein sign,' a marker of multiple sclerosis (MS). Researchers compared a standard scan to a newer, faster version in 60 adults with early-stage MS. The goal was to find which technique works best for spotting this sign, which could help doctors diagnose MS more accurately.
