First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study compares two surgical methods using mesh to repair vaginal prolapse in women who have had prior prolapse surgery. About 318 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either transvaginal mesh or laparoscopic mesh fixation. The main goal is to see which approach better relieves the feeling of a vaginal bulge one year after surgery, while also tracking complications, pain, and costs.
