First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looked at 240 first-time mothers with a full-term pregnancy (40 weeks or more) who needed help starting labor. They were given either misoprostol or dinoprostone as a vaginal insert to soften the cervix and trigger contractions. The main goal was to see which drug led to more successful vaginal deliveries and how long it took. The results help doctors choose the best option for inducing labor safely.
