NCT ID NCT06014983
First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study compares two forms of iron (ferrous fumarate and ferrous bisglycinate) in prenatal supplements to see which one boosts iron stores better and causes fewer stomach issues. About 172 healthy pregnant women in Vancouver will take one of the two types daily from mid-pregnancy until delivery. Researchers will measure iron levels in blood and gut health to help improve supplement guidelines for moms and babies.
