Heart bypass showdown: which graft lasts longer?
NCT ID NCT07057713
First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study compares two ways to reroute blood flow around blocked heart arteries during bypass surgery. One method uses only arteries from the chest and arm, while the other uses a mix of artery and leg vein grafts. The goal is to see which approach keeps the new blood vessels open longer, reducing future heart problems. About 400 adults with severe heart disease will take part, and their grafts will be checked one year after surgery.
