First seen Mar 18, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tested a new way to give the water pill furosemide—as a single shot under the skin—compared to the standard method through an IV line. Twenty-one healthy adults aged 45 to 80 took part. The goal was to see how well the body absorbs the drug and how it affects urine output, which is important for treating fluid buildup in heart failure.
