New osteoporosis drug shows promise in Head-to-Head trial

Summary

This study tested a new drug called Enzene denosumab (ENZ215) against the approved drug Prolia in 504 postmenopausal women with osteoporosis. The goal was to see if the new drug works as well at increasing bone density and reducing bone breakdown over 12 months. Both drugs are given as injections and aim to strengthen bones and prevent fractures.
