New hope for ITP patients: antibody drug takes on standard therapy

Summary

This study compares a new drug called daratumumab with the standard drug rituximab in 160 adults with immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) whose condition did not improve or came back after steroid treatment. The goal is to see which drug works better at raising platelet counts and reducing bleeding risk. Participants will receive one of the two drugs and be monitored for 12 weeks.
