Hip implant collar may prevent sinking and fractures, new study tests
NCT ID NCT07337642
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study compares two types of hip implants used in total hip replacement surgery: one with a collar and one without. The goal is to see if the collared design reduces implant sinking and lowers the risk of bone fractures around the implant. About 100 adults getting a first-time hip replacement will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two implants and followed for one year.
