Summary

This study is testing whether a higher dose of the blood thinner bemiparin is better than the standard dose at preventing dangerous blood clots in severely obese patients after surgery. The trial will enroll 2,400 participants with a BMI of 40 or higher who are having general, gynecologic, or bariatric surgery. Researchers will track how many patients develop clots and monitor for side effects like bleeding.
