First seen Apr 03, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tested a new method using ultrasound to guide pressing on the main belly artery (aorta) to slow blood flow to the legs, compared to the usual manual pressing technique. It involved 20 healthy adults aged 18-40. The goal was to see which method reduces blood flow better and causes less pain, which could help control severe bleeding in emergencies.
