First seen Apr 03, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tested a new way to slow blood flow in the leg artery by pressing on the belly, guided by ultrasound, compared to the usual manual method. Twenty healthy adults aged 18 to 40 took part. Researchers measured blood flow reduction and pain for each technique. The study was stopped early, so results are limited.
