Could a 3-Hour drip beat a 30-Minute one for kids with sepsis?
NCT ID NCT07484633
First seen Mar 25, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looks at whether giving antibiotics over 3 hours works better than the usual 30-minute drip for critically ill children (0-17 years) with severe infections like sepsis. About 110 kids in intensive care will get the same dose of antibiotic, just at different speeds. Researchers will check if the longer infusion clears the infection faster and is just as safe.
