What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
ankle foot orthosis (carbon or plastic brace)
What this could lead to
If carbon braces work better, this could help kids with cerebral palsy move more easily and join in more activities.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 38 children, so results may not apply to everyone. The braces might not improve mobility as hoped.
