This study tested five different devices for numbing the roof of the mouth before a tooth extraction. Two hundred healthy adults received the same anesthetic but through different tools, including a standard syringe, a spring-loaded syringe, and a needle-free jet injector. Researchers measured pain, fear, and heart rate to find which method is most comfortable for patients.
