Summary
This study developed and tested a communication skills training program (iCOT) for occupational therapy interns working in mental health. Researchers enrolled 307 participants, including interns, supervisors, and patients. The program's effectiveness was measured by expert raters who did not know which interns received the training, comparing their communication skills to a previous group.
