Double-Scan strategy could sharpen prostate cancer staging
NCT ID NCT07455097
First seen Mar 07, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study looks at whether combining PSMA-PET/CT and MRI scans can more accurately determine the extent of prostate cancer in men with intermediate- or high-risk disease. Researchers will compare the scans to the actual tissue removed during surgery in 600 men across European centers. The goal is to improve staging and guide personalized treatment, such as which lymph nodes to remove and how much nerve tissue to spare.
