Double attack on tough myeloma: stem cell transplant plus CAR-T shows promise

NCT ID NCT05632380

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study combines a stem cell transplant with a special immune cell therapy (C-CAR088) for people with ultra high-risk multiple myeloma that didn't respond well to first treatments. About 20 adults aged 18-65 will receive this one-two punch to see if it's safe and helps control the cancer longer. The goal is to reduce or eliminate signs of the disease, but ongoing monitoring and possible maintenance therapy are expected.
