New cocktail shows promise for Hard-to-Treat myeloma

NCT ID NCT03361306

First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tested a combination of four drugs (carfilzomib, lenalidomide, dexamethasone, and elotuzumab) in 15 people whose multiple myeloma had returned or stopped responding to treatment. The goal was to see if this mix could shrink tumors or eliminate signs of cancer. While some patients achieved a very good partial response or better, this is not a cure—patients still need ongoing treatment to manage the disease.
