New program aims to ease emotional burden on caregivers of coma patients

Summary

This study tests a program called COMA-F designed to reduce emotional distress in caregivers of patients with severe acute brain injury. About 150 caregivers who are feeling anxious or depressed will be randomly assigned to either the COMA-F program or a health education group. The goal is to see if COMA-F helps caregivers feel better and improves their quality of life.
