AI eye on your colon: new software aims to spot hidden polyps
NCT ID NCT07563816
First seen May 16, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests whether a software called ColoMaia II can help doctors find polyps (abnormal growths) in the colon during a colonoscopy. About 600 adults aged 40 to 80 having a routine colonoscopy will be randomly assigned to have the procedure with or without the software's assistance. The main goal is to see if the software increases the number of people in whom at least one adenoma (a type of polyp) is found, and to check that the software is safe to use.
