College students step in as therapists for stressed rural teens
NCT ID NCT07240792
Summary
This study is testing whether college students, trained by psychologists, can effectively deliver a type of talk therapy (CBT) to high school students in rural Pennsylvania. The goal is to see if this approach can reduce symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress in teens who often have limited access to mental health care. Researchers will work with about 40 high school students to see if the therapy is helpful, practical, and well-received.
