Can a simple graft save your jawbone after a tooth is pulled?

NCT ID NCT07270510

Summary

This study is testing whether placing a collagen graft into the empty socket after a tooth is pulled helps preserve the jawbone better than letting it heal naturally. Researchers are comparing these two approaches in 24 adults who need a single-rooted tooth extracted. They will use 3D scans to measure changes in bone and gum tissue over three months to see if the graft makes a difference.
