New primary care strategy aims to curb opioid and stimulant crisis
NCT ID NCT06116266
Summary
This study is testing whether a collaborative care program in primary care clinics can help adults with moderate to severe substance use disorders reduce their use of opioids, stimulants, and heavy alcohol. The program involves a team-based approach where primary care providers work with care managers and addiction specialists. Researchers will enroll 350 participants to see if this integrated model leads to fewer days of substance use and better overall health and recovery.
