Chilling the brain to save it: new hope for severe strokes

NCT ID NCT07232082

Summary

This study is testing whether cooling the brain with cold saline during a standard clot-removal procedure helps people who have had a severe stroke. Researchers will compare patients who receive the cooling treatment to those who receive normal-temperature saline during the procedure. The main goal is to see if the cooling helps more patients achieve better independence in daily activities 90 days after their stroke.
