NCT ID NCT04764357

First seen Mar 14, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tests a special cooling cap (Paxman device) to see if it can safely prevent hair loss in children and young adults receiving chemotherapy for non-cancerous conditions or solid tumors. About 40 participants will wear the cap during treatment. The goal is to find out if the cap is safe and if kids can tolerate it, with the hope of reducing a common side effect of chemotherapy.
