Building blocks could spot hidden brain problems in liver patients

NCT ID NCT06619106

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests a new, quick thinking test using building blocks to find a hidden brain condition called minimal hepatic encephalopathy (MHE) in people with liver disease. About 100 adults with liver problems will take the test, and results will be compared to standard tests and brain scans. The goal is to see if this simple tool can reliably spot MHE, making diagnosis faster and easier.
