New study aims to clear the 'Chemo Brain' fog for breast cancer survivors
NCT ID NCT05289258
First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study compares two treatments—cognitive rehabilitation (brain exercises) and the Unified Barlow Protocol (a therapy for emotional disorders)—to see which better helps breast cancer survivors with memory and thinking problems. About 123 survivors with mild to moderate cognitive issues will be randomly assigned to one of the treatments or a waitlist. The goal is to improve cognitive function, reduce anxiety and depression, and boost quality of life, with results checked after six months.
