Frail Seniors' brain clues: amyloid and memory decline under microscope
NCT ID NCT03129269
First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looked at 344 frail older adults (70+) with memory problems to see how often they have amyloid plaques in the brain, a sign of Alzheimer's disease. Researchers tracked their thinking skills and daily function over two years to compare those with and without Alzheimer's-related brain changes. The goal was to better understand how frailty and memory loss progress together.
