First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tested whether mild electrical stimulation (tDCS and tRNS) applied to the front of the brain could improve thinking and memory in 36 adults with schizophrenia. Participants completed memory and problem-solving tasks after receiving each type of stimulation. The goal was to see if these safe, non-invasive techniques could help ease cognitive symptoms.
