Summary
This study tested a new method to adjust cochlear implant settings in 9 adults who have one implant and a hearing aid in the other ear. The goal was to improve how well they understand speech and perceive music by using an evolutionary algorithm to reassign sound frequencies. Results were measured by comparing hearing tests before and after the new settings.
