Virtual reality glasses aim to sharpen hearing for implant users

NCT ID NCT04078763

Summary

This study tested a new virtual reality training program designed to help adults who use two cochlear implants. The goal was to see if the training could improve their ability to tell where sounds are coming from in a 3D space. Researchers compared training that used only visual feedback to training that used both sound and visual feedback.
