First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tested whether a cochlear implant can help adults aged 65 and older who are deaf in one ear but have normal hearing in the other. Fifteen participants received the implant and were followed for one year. The main goal was to see if they could understand speech better in noisy situations. The results suggest the implant may improve hearing in noise for this group.
