New study aims to Fine-Tune cochlear implants for kids under 7
NCT ID NCT07417956
First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated Jun 08, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study looks at a new way to program cochlear implants in children aged 0 to 7 years. Normally, programming relies on the child's response, which can be hard to get. The study will test if measuring a reflex in the ear (eSRT) is a reliable and practical method. If successful, it could lead to better hearing and speech development in young children with hearing loss.
