First seen Dec 24, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested a new drug called CNM-Au8, made of tiny gold particles, in 33 adults with relapsing multiple sclerosis (MS). The goal was to see if it could improve energy use in brain cells, measured by a special MRI scan. Participants took the drug for 12 weeks while continuing their usual MS medication. The study focused on safety and changes in brain chemistry, not on curing MS.
