New drug combo aims to beat CMV in kidney transplant patients

Summary
This study tests whether adding letermovir to the standard drug valganciclovir works better than valganciclovir alone for treating CMV infections in kidney transplant recipients. About 80 adult participants will receive either the combination or the single drug, and researchers will measure how well the virus is cleared from the blood. The goal is to find a more effective treatment option for this common post-transplant infection.
