Scientists hunt for brain clues in Hard-to-Treat schizophrenia
NCT ID NCT05316883
Summary
This study aims to discover biological markers that can predict which patients with difficult-to-treat schizophrenia will respond well to the medication clozapine. Researchers will examine 200 adults before they start clozapine and again after 12 weeks of treatment, looking at brain scans, blood, and spinal fluid. The goal is to better understand the biology of treatment response, not to test a new cure or treatment.
