Summary
This small pilot study tested two different automated insulin delivery systems, often called 'closed-loop' systems or artificial pancreases, in adults with type 1 diabetes. The goal was to see if these systems could reliably control blood sugar levels over short periods, both with and without users announcing their meals. The main measure of success was whether the systems worked correctly at least 80% of the time.
