New anesthesia machine tested for better surgery sleep control

Summary
This study tests a new compact version of a computer-controlled anesthesia delivery system that automatically adjusts medicine based on brain activity. About 150 adults having non-cardiac surgery will be randomly assigned to the new or older system. The goal is to see which keeps patients at the right depth of anesthesia more consistently.
