First seen Jan 17, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looks at whether clindamycin, an antibiotic taken by mouth, works as well as other antibiotics for treating Streptococcus infections in artificial joints. About 260 adults who had joint replacement surgery and developed an infection will be included. The goal is to see if clindamycin can stop the infection without needing more surgery or long-term antibiotics.
