First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 36 times
Summary
This study looked at how well a cholesterol-lowering drug called bempedoic acid works in Taiwanese adults with high cholesterol. About 180 people took the drug for 12 weeks to see if it safely lowered their bad cholesterol (LDL-C) and helped them reach their cholesterol goals. The drug is already approved in the US and Europe, but this was the first test in a Taiwanese population.
