Heart ultrasound may predict drug success in heart failure patients
NCT ID NCT07088471
First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looked at 334 adults with heart failure to see if a special ultrasound measurement of the heart's left chamber (left atrial strain) can predict who will respond well to the drug Sacubitril/Valsartan. The goal was to understand why some patients improve on the drug while others do not. Researchers measured heart function and blood markers before and 3 months after starting the drug.
