First seen Jan 24, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study compares a new clear plastic expander to the standard metal Hyrax expander for widening the upper jaw in 40 teens aged 10-14. The goal is to see if the clear device works as well for correcting crossbites and improving jaw width. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two expanders and followed with scans to measure results.
