New urine test could catch hidden kidney rejection

NCT ID NCT07415876

First seen Feb 25, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a urine test (CXCL10) can spot kidney transplant rejection more accurately than a standard blood test, especially when the blood test misses it. Researchers will collect urine samples from 50 adult kidney transplant patients who are already having a biopsy. They want to see if the urine test works even after shipping at room temperature, making it easier to use in clinics.
