First seen Jan 26, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tests whether using a special laser microscope (confocal laser endomicroscopy) along with a freezing biopsy probe can help doctors more accurately diagnose lung lesions. Forty adults with suspicious lung spots will be split into two groups: one gets the standard ultrasound-guided biopsy, the other gets the new laser-guided method. The goal is to see if the new approach leads to fewer complications and more successful diagnoses.
